Day one should not be like this.
After that, I wish I had a dollar or a pound for every time I’ve heard this story.
A new client or challenge participant is getting ready to start training with us here at Move Well Fitness.
It’s maybe Thursday, and they’re getting started on Monday.
We take their weight and measurements, congratulate and high five them, give them their swag bag and send them on their way until Monday.
They show up Monday bloated with low energy and 3 pounds heavier. Ouch and not good!
Why is this you may ask? What happened?
They binged on all of their favorite and soon-to-be “forbidden” foods.
No joke. Day one should not be like this!
Consequently, I’ve seen people create huge setbacks for themselves in the name of not being able to have what they love ever again.
And honestly, if you approach any workout or nutrition plan with that mentality, you will fail. It’s that simple.
Likewise, it’s a very harsh truth, but everyone needs to know.
However, no food will ever be off limits (except egg plant, simply disgusting). You live in an abundant society where food isn’t scarce, and anything you want can be yours at any time.
For example, it can be as simple as smaller portions, decreased frequency of consumption, or preparing healthier alternatives to your favorite foods.
But there is never a reason to believe that you’re going to have to say goodbye to pizza and ice cream forever.
So, have you ever approached a fitness program with this mentality of “never again?” I know many of you have.
In conclusion, what was the outcome? Hit reply, and let me know! Don’t be shy! Share away. You will help others.
