Three Simple Ways to Make Vegetables Exciting
I’ll be honest with you…I’m not going to eat too many things that I don’t love except vegetables. I’m grown up now and know the benefit they bring. Also, I know what’s good for me, but I also choose to eat foods that satisfy my palate.
I love eating the way my wife makes them taste AMAZING, so here are three simple ways to make vegetables exciting. By the way, these are some of my favorite ways that I like them made too:
1. Grill them. Drizzle first with olive oil, salt, pepper, and/or seasoning of your choice. Nearly any vegetable can be grilled from Brussel sprouts (my favorite vegetable) to kale.
2. Sautee them. Heat a pan with olive oil, add vegetables, season with salt, pepper, and any other seasoning you choose. Try adding crushed or minced garlic to the pan and letting it brown before adding the vegetables to flavor the oil. I’ve heard this way is SO GOOD!
3. Roast them. This is one of the easiest ways to prepare vegetables because it tends to work for a variety all at once. Same process – toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, seasoning of choice, and arrange in a thin layer on a baking sheet. Bake at around 350-375 until everything starts to brown. Doesn’t get easier than that!
What’s your favorite way to prepare veggies? I’m always looking for new, delicious ideas!
Yours in Health & Deliciousness,
Maurice
